Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers : Houston Music Hall, Texas 12/06/79

YOU KNOW SOMETIMES,
I DON'T KNOW WHY
BUT THIS OLD TOWN
JUST SEEMS SO HOPELESS

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers :
Houston Music Hall, Texas
12/06/79

 Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers

had weathered some tough times

 prior to the release

of their 1979

 breakthrough album,

 Damn The Torpedoes,

and the tour that promoted it,

broadcast on the

 King Biscuit Flower Hour.

Damn The Torpedoes

would refine the bands sound

 and become a statement

of intent for the future.

 Their performance in

Houston, TX in 1979

boasts a sizable chunk

of the then new album

with cuts from their

two previous LPs,

 in an explosive set

 that has since become

 a valuable testament

 to the early,

and often brilliant,

live career of that

most American institution;

 Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

Timeline proudly presents

a prized performance

by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers

 performing live

at the Houston Music Hall, Texas

on December, 6th 1979.

Superb,

professionally remastered

  original

King Biscuit Flower Hour
