Eric Clapton: Eric Clapton (Anniversary Deluxe Edition)

BET YOU DIDN'T THINK

I KNEW HOW TO

ROCK N' ROLL

OH, I GOT THE

BOOGIE -WOOGIE

RIGHT DOWN IN

MY VERY SOUL

 The Album Represents

a real turning point in

Clapton's career;

from guitar hero

and icon

of the '60s,

 he goes from being

 a complete artist,

 abandoning his

 pyrotechnic solos

 in favor of a

greater focus

 on composition

 and songwriting,

 a formula that would

define the rest of his career.

Clapton fell in love with

 the sound of

 The Band

 and

 JJ Cale

 and for the recording

 of the album

 he surrounded himself

 with a new cast of

 American musicians,

mostly from

 the Delaney & Bonnie circle,

 with a much more

rootsy and laid back

approach to music.

This new Anniversary

 Deluxe Edition

presents the

  Eric Clapton album

 in three versions,

each with a different mix:

 The Eric Clapton Mix ,

 The Delaney Bramlett Mix  ,

 and

  The Tom Dowd Mix

(The UK Version) .

 The fourth CD

 also includes singles,

 alternate versions,

 and outtakes.
